Vein of Clay Reported Found

A valuable vein of fire clay was rumored to have been found on the old Kauffman farm near Henrietta. Pittsburgh parties were interested in the find, and they were to proceed at once to investigate the extent and variety of the clay.

Miss Carrie Davis was installed as a new clerk in the store of Eichelberger, Earlenbaugh & Co., filling a vacancy created by the resignation of Miss Annie Nicodemus.

Rev. Franklin M. Welsh , former pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Roaring Spring, died of consumption at his home near Treverton.
