Series: Williamsburg | Story 83

The Williamsburg Community School Board unveiled its health and safety plan for summer practices and fall sports during its June 18 regular meeting.

Superintendent Lisa Murgas said she worked with the PIAA to develop a plan of safety procedures for practices.

Some of the recommendations of the plan are:

• Players will undergo health screenings and wear face masks when appropriate.

• Hand sanitizer will be available in the gymnasium and “athletes should use [it] after every drill,” Murgas said.

• Increased sanitation of equipment by coaches following practices.
