Severe Storm Downs Trees

Heavy thunderstorms, that settled over some parts of the area Sunday had brought down trees and caused flooding damage to the area. The storm uprooted trees and disrupted power lines along Route 36 in Brooks Mills.

Dr. Lanny F. Ross, 53, superintendent of the Northern Bedford School District for 13 years, submitted his resignation to accept a position as executive director of the Altoona Area Vocational-Technical School.
