The death of Mrs. Viola Edna Stoner was attributed to typhoid fever. An epidemic of this disease has been spreading in Martinsburg.
Ministers of the Morrisons Cove association held an outing at Martinsburg. Dinner was served at the hotel and in the afternoon a gathering was held at the Reformed parsonage.
The school directors of Huston township met at the Dilling school in Poverty Hollow Saturday and elected teachers. It was decided to close the Oak Grove school. It was also decided to increase the millage so that a new school building could be erected at Mines.
