Park's J4 Celebration Continues Through Friday, July 3

Morrisons Cove Memorial Park in Martinsburg has announced three free concerts, a tractor pull and a fireworks show to conclude its J4 festivities week.

The park encompasses over 20 acres, which will provide ample room for social distancing, said Chuck Gojmerac, executive director.

Ten different non-profits and small businesses will be selling food and drinks for your enjoyment.

Wednesday’s (July 1) entertainment includes a concert by Bone Jacked. The group will begin its performance at 7 p.m. in the gazebo.

On Thursday, July 2, the festivities will kick off with a tractor pull competition at 6 p.m. on the south end of the campus. Additionally, Back in the Day will take the gazebo stage at 7 p.m..

On Friday, July 3, Nashville recording artist Ricky Lee will provide a patriotic-themed freedom show beginning at 7 p.m. The pool will reopen at 9 p.m. for a special Fireworks evening swim. There will be a charge for admission.

At 10 p.m. Thursday, the celebration concludes with a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by Curry Supply, Teeter Insurance Group, News Printing Co., Reliance Bank and Ritchey's Dairy.

It is recommended that attendees bring their own lawn chairs for the concert and fireworks viewing.

Morrisons Cove Memorial Park is located at 201 S. Walnut St.
