Crochet Club Hosts Outing

At a meeting of the board of directors of the Morrisons Cove Vocational High school held Saturday, Prof. C.A. Byers was elected director of the school to take the place of his brothers, Prof. Edward E. Byers, who had been killed in a railroad crossing accident.
Rev. Moses R. Brumbaugh of Martinsburg returned home after having attended the general conference of the Church of the Brethren at Sedalia, Mo.
John Metzker and Elvin Bridenbaugh, two young men from the vicinity of Martinsburg, took part in the dairy judging contest held at State College the previous week.
Members of the Crochet club of Martinsburg held an outing in Snake Spring valley on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Elvin I. Burget of E. Allegheny St. announced the arrival of a son on the Fourth.
The Fair Valley Community picnic was held on July 5 at the farm home of James McKerihan. Supper was served in the orchard.
The Ebersole family reunion was held in the Hickory Bottom section on Sunday June 27. About eighty persons attended.
