Tractor Pulls on Display at Southern Cove Power Reunion

A tractor pull was held on Saturday, June 27, at the Southern Cove Power Reunion in New Enterprise.

Attendees brought their own chairs, sat in the provided bleachers and in their vehicles to watch.

The Power Reunion also had a tractor ride at noon with 10 tractors participating.

Food such as hot dogs, pulled pork and fresh fruit cups were sold from their kitchen. Attendees appeared to social distance and not gather in one large group anywhere.

Tractor pulls are scheduled for July 11, July 18, Aug. 8, Aug. 15, Sept. 18, Sept. 19 and Oct. 10. Weigh-ins will be at 3 p.m., and the pulls will start at 4 p.m.

On Saturday, July 18, the Greater Pennsylvania Military Preservation Association will be on the Power Reunion's show grounds. This group will display military vehicles and authentic uniforms and weapons from Vietnam to present day. This group will be set up by noon. For more information, call Tom Gray at (570) 991-0067.

The 30th annual Power Reunion Show will be Sept. 18 through Sept. 20. The event will include threshing grain and bailing straw, binding and chopping corn, tractor games, flea market, tractor parade, saw mill, children's tractor pull, garden tractors, apple cider pressing, homemade apple butter and basket raffle. Camping will be available. A chicken barbecue will be held on Saturday and Sunday, and a pancake and sausage breakfast with a church service will be held on Sunday.

Massey-Harris will be the featured tractor for this show. Tickets are being sold to win a tractor.
