Central Graduate Joins Army JAG Team

 

Michael D. Berkheimer

Michael D. Berkheimer, a native of Morrisons Cove, was commissioned a 1st Lt. in the Army Reserves in April 2020 and joined the Judge Advocate General (JAG) team.

Michael graduated from Central High School in 2001. While in high school he participated in football, baseball and basketball, was president of his senior class and was a member of the National Honor Society,

He attended and graduated with honors from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in history.

Wanting to further his education, Michael selected to attend the Pennsylvania State University and the Dickinson School of Law. He graduated in 2009 with a Juris Doctor law degree. After graduation he accepted a position with the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C.

Michael enlisted in the Maryland National Guard in 2017 as a human intelligence collector. He excelled in his basic training and was recognized by his instructors at graduation. In addition to his basic training and advanced individual training, Michael participated in survival training and attended follow-on intelligence schools.

Michael, his wife, Sandra, and two sons currently reside in Potomac, Md. He is the son of Marsha and Dean Berkheimer of Roaring Spring.
