More Than 34 Million Court Cases Sealed From Public View

Since Pennsylvania's Clean Slate Law took effect last year on June 28, 2019, more than 34 million cases and nearly 47 million offenses have been sealed from public view. According to the AOPC records, Bedford County has had between a quarter-million and a half-million court case records sealed. Blair County has had a half-million to 1 million case sealed.

Under the law, the following criminal history record information is automatically shielded from public view:
(1) offenses with non-conviction dispositions, and
(2) eligible summary and non-violent misdemeanor convictions more than 10 years old for which all court-ordered obligations have been completed.
