Site Conditions Cause Headaches for Williamsburg Authority

The contractor who bid on the project for Ridge Road in Woodbury Township (Blair County) was told that the road would be tar and chipped, but when he went out to complete the project, there was an overlay of pavement of roughly 1-1-1/4 inches on the road.

During the project, the contractor marred the road, thus upsetting Woodbury Township officials. To complete a 1,600-foot overlay with tar and chip, the cost was estimated at $6,000.
