Summer STEM Camp Set at RS Library

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our everyday lives in so many ways. Just because we cannot be together physically, doesn’t mean we can’t have fun.

This year’s Family Fun Summer STEM Camp at the Roaring Spring Community Library is designed so we still have an awesome time together and still follow the guidelines from the CDC to stay safe.

The camp will be held at 5:30 p.m. each Thursday through Aug. 13.

How It Works

Kits will be available at the library for pickup the day before the scheduled program. Every Thursday at 5:30 p.m., a new video will be posted to the library’s YouTube Channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/roaringspringlibrary, and on the library’s Facebook Page. Cortney Gensimore will walk participants through the featured project step by step as well as include some fun science experiments they can do at home with simple household ingredients. Participants will also be given a journal to record their observations to share. We encourage everyone to share videos and photos of themselves doing the projects on our Social Media Pages!

To register, call the library at 224-2994, email summerstem@roaringspringlibrary.org, or send a message on Facebook.
