NE Youth Win Supreme Awards

Aaron Gable of New Enterprise was named supreme champion of all breeds with his grand champion four-year-old Guernsey at the Morrisons Cove Dairy Show held July 31 thorough Aug. 4 at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park.

Kendy Gable of New Enterprise was named supreme champion with her five-year-old Jersey at the Morrisons Cove 4-H Dairy Show held Aug. 2 at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park.

James Young of New Enterprise won supreme champion with his two-year-old Milking Shorthorn in the FFA show at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park.

Northern Bedford Mid-State won the championship of the Lilly Pony League Tournament after defeating Hollidaysburg, 10-3. Doug Miller earned the complete-game victory. Team members were Andy Pepple, Ben Penrod, Mike Conley, Travis Rodland, Aaron Nelson, Ben Malloy, Doug Miller, Matt Steele, Aaron Kagarise, Justin Hoover, A.J. Nastasi, Joe Oakes, Lucas Miller, Jan Snider, Aaron Gable and coaches Tim Drenning, Jeff Imes, Ed King and Al Drenning.
