W-Burg Authority Plans for Well Pump Update; Buys Utility Trailer

Penelec has a power line that is over one of the Williamsburg Municipal Authority’s wells.

The authority is planning to pull the well pump out of the well for updating, but the power line is too close to the well to do so safely.

Penelec has to shut down power while the contractor pulls the pump. The cost for Penelec to do a complete disconnect/reconnect would be a total of $1,555. This cost would also apply to a shut-off when the pump is re-installed after updates are complete.
