When I am fishing, I occasionally encounter unusual things that have nothing to do with my fly-fishing adventures.

One of the weirdest outdoor encounters I have had recently was finding a little mole trying to get himself out of an in-stream patch of dirty gunk that must once have been foam. Since moles live underground and are basically blind, this little guy had no idea how to extricate himself from the morass. I had an easy solution to his problem.
