Nason Room Rate Increase

Preliminary arrangements for the Morrisons Cove Community Fair were made at a meeting of the directors of the Fair Association last week.The fair is to be held Sept. 29 through Oct. 2.

Room rates at the Nason Hospital wet up $10 a day, effective Aug.1. The rate boost puts room rates at $42 a day for a four-bed semi-private room and $43 a day for a two-bed semi-private room.

The Blair County Airport Authority opened bids Tuesday night for the construction of 10 new T-hangars at the airport in Martinsburg.

The Spring Cove School Board has authorized its president and secretary to borrow up to $150,000 on Sept. 15 to pay the building rental due on that date.

Rich-Lou Reflector Nina, a Registered Holstein cow owned by Richard J. Frederick, Martinsburg, has been officially classified “Excellent” - the highest designation attainable in the type classification program of the Holstein-Friesian Association of America only applies to animals scoring 90 or more of the 100 points representing theoretical perfection in body conformation.
