More than 20 members of the PawZone Dog Therapy Group visited Homewood at Martinsburg on Aug. 22, walking around the exterior of the facility with their pets giving residents an opportunity to get acquainted.
A group of therapy dogs visited residents and staff at Homewood Martinsburg recently. Following the social distancing guidelines, the visits took place through windows at the various buildings at Homewood. Nineteen dogs and their owners/handlers walked through the facility making their way from window to window to warm hearts by touching "nose to finger" with the residents. Many of the dogs were completing their testing criteria during the visit. Afterwards, the dogs were treated to free ice cream at Ritchey's Dairy, complements of Andrew Ritchey.
