Among the men from Martinsburg called for jury duty for the October term of the Blair county courts were: Fleetwood Brumbaugh, Homer Hartman, Reuben Lytle and James B. Miller.

A picnic was to be held at Snyder’s grove, Martinsburg Sept, 15 for all persons of the community whose birthdays came in September.

D.S. Smelser, Martinsburg harness man, exhibited a tomato which measured 22 inches in circumference and weighed three pounds and 13 ounces. He raised it in his garden.
