Resumed talks between union and management at the Combined Paper Mill of Roaring Spring broke off with no indication of an early settlement of the strike that now is in its fifth week.

Gliders were landing on Morrisons Cove fields over the Labor Day weekend like dragonflies on a pond's edge.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hoover donated their time last week to the care of the Cove's older citizens in the infirmary of the Morrisons Cove Home for the Aged.
