INTENT TO DEMOLISH HISTORIC STRUCTURE
The Borough of Williamsburg has scheduled a public hearing to accept public comments regarding proposed plans for the demolition of a historic structure that has been identified by the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) to be a contributing structure within Williamsburg Borough’s Historical District as follows:

Williamsburg Borough has conducted an engineering evaluation and is proposing to deconstruct half of a duplex structure identified as 424-426 West First Street. The Borough of Williamsburg has considered the historical significance of the building and has determined that no other feasible alternative to demolition can be found.

Ordinance No. 2020-625 – An Ordinance of the Borough of Martinsburg, Blair County, PA Electing to Amend its Non-Uniform Pension Plan Administered by the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System Pursuant to Article IV of the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement Law
Notice is hereby given that the Borough of Martinsburg intends to enact Ordinance No. 2020-625 Electing to Amend its Non-Uniform Pension Plan. By adoption of this Ordinance, the Borough of Martinsburg agrees that the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System shall administer and provide certain benefits as set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System defined benefit plan adoption agreement and all terms and provisions contained therein, and the Ordinance provides that the benefits set forth in the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System defined benefit plan adoption agreement shall be effective as of the date specified in said adoption agreement. The Ordinance will be considered for adoption at the regular meeting of Martinsburg Borough Council on October 5, 2020 at 7:00 PM.
