Woman Killed in Car Crash

The Pennsylvania State Police, Hollidaysburg, is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 7:47 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, in Taylor Township, Blair County.

According to State Police, a 2009 Ford Fusion driven by Jeremy Hart, 40, struck a tan 2008 Ford Taurus driven by Donna Jean Cox, 77. Cox had entered the intersection of State Route 36 from Cross Cove Road.

Cox, who was wearing her seatbelt, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Hart, who was not wearing his seatbelt, suffered major injuries. Marisa Paige Grainda, 26, who was a passenger in the Ford Fusion, was wearing her seatbelt and suffered moderate injuries.

This crash was reconstructed by the Troop G CARS Unit.

Police did not provide hometowns for the drivers and passenger.

State Police were assisted at the scene by Friendship Fire Co., Roaring Spring, AMED and the Blair County Coroner’s Office.
