Central Tennis Team Off to 2-3 Start

The Central High School tennis team is off to a 2-3 start.

The Lady Dragons traveled to Altoona on Aug. 31 and lost 6-0.

At Clearfield on Sept. 9, Central suffered a 6-1 loss. The Lady Dragons’ only win was in doubles action, as the team of Madison Kennedy and Ashlyn Renner scored an 8-2 win.

Central traveled to Tyrone on Sept. 15 and fell short, 5-2. The Lady Dragons won both doubles matches. Violet Smith and Madison Kennedy won 8-2 and Adacyn James and Kaylee Cole won 8-5.

Central earned its first win of the season Sept. 15, blanking host Huntingdon, 7-0.
