Central Golf

The Central High School golf team has had a busy start to its 2020 campaign.

On Aug. 27 at Skytop Mountain Golf Club near Port Matilda, the Dragons placed third in the seven-team field. Bellefonte placed first with a score of 347, followed by Tyrone (356) and Central (359).

Jerry Brumbaugh shot an 88 to lead Central. Jonah Snowberger and Griffin Snowberger each fired an 89, and Nick Baum finished with a 93.

At Iron Masters Country Club, Roaring Spring, on Aug. 31, Altoona handed Central a 337-354 setback.
