Rev. William A. Long, Ph. D., who for many years had been pastor of the Hickory Bottom charge of the Reformed church died on Saturday, Sept. 25, while visiting at his boyhood home near Lexington, N.C.

A meeting of the Reformed Ministerial association of Blair county was held at Roaring Spring. The business session was held in the Reformed church.

The home of Mrs. Jennie Curry of Roaring Spring was the scene of a family gathering on Sunday in observance of the 60th birthday of Mrs. Curry.
