The Central High School tennis team recognized its three seniors Sept. 24 against Huntingdon. With head coach John Riley are seniors Ellen Kennedy (left) and twin sisters Miranda Madden and Ariadne Madden.
The Central High School tennis team finished its 2020 campaign with a record of 6-6.
On Sept. 28, visiting Altoona was victorious, 4-0, in a rain-shortened match. The No. 5 singles and No. 2 doubles were not completed and the No. 1 doubles were not started when rains came and ended the match.
In windy conditions Sept. 30, host Central defeated Shanksville-Stoneycreek, 5-2. The Lady Dragons' Tomi May and Ellen Kennedy dropped tough singles matches at 1 and 2 before twins Miranda and Ariadne Madden and Morgan Kennedy swept the next three singles positions to put the team ahead 3-2.
