MICHAEL M. 'MIKE' KRIDER

Michael M. "Mike" Krider, 62, of Roaring Spring, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at UPMC Altoona, following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born June 20, 1958, in Roaring Spring, the son of Annette (Mellott) Krider and the late Merrill Krider. He was twice married, both times to the love of his life, Michelle (Hess) Krider.
She survives along with two children: Amanda Gonsman and husband Anthony of Williamsburg and Benjamin Krider and wife Megan of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren: Tristan, Titus, Adrian, Allie and Allegra Gonsman and Evelyn and Jocelyn Krider; a brother, Tim Krider of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Nancy Metzger of Roaring Spring; and a nephew and niece, Tommy and Kylie Metzger.
Michael was a 1976 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg.
He retired from Appleton Papers, Roaring Spring, after more than 25 years of service. He had worked as a cleaning person for Service Master, Duncansville, and had also previously been employed at New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., New Enterprise.
He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. He also enjoyed golfing, especially with his father, and also bowling. He previously coached Little League and enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball.
Michael was a member of Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, and enjoyed watching pastors on television. He also enjoyed using a pen to complete crossword puzzles in the local newspapers.
Friends will be received from 3 until 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church.
A private graveside service will be Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
