The Central High School football team runs onto the field prior to its Oct. 16 matchup against Penns Valley on Oct. 16 at Roaring Spring Athletic Field. The District 5 and District 6 football postseason that kicks off this weekend will feature three teams from Morrisons Cove.
In District 5, second-seeded Northern Bedford (5-1) will host third-seeded Conemaugh Township (3-2), Davidsville, on Friday, Oct. 23. The Class 1A semifinal will kick off at 7 p.m. at Panther Community Stadium, Loysburg. The winner will advance to the district championship game against top-seeded Tussey Mountain (6-0) on Oct. 29, 30 or 31 at a time and site to be determined.
