Blair County Airport Wins $316,000 Loan to Add Hangars

The federal United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced Oct. 14 that the Blair County Airport Authority has been awarded a $316,000 Community Facilities (CF) loan.

The loan will be used to construct three facilities which will provide 19 T-hangars for the Blair County Airport Authority. T hangars are rented out for the storage of private aircraft.

Additional funds were added due to higher construction costs than originally estimated. The project was originally funded in fiscal 2018. The current hangars at the Martinsburg airport are all occupied or in need of replacement.
