Power Outage Affects 1,300

Approximately 1,300 customers in the Southern Cove area lost electrical service for about 2-1/2 hours last week. The outage happened about 5:45 p.m. Friday and power was restored around 8 p.m. Approximately 1,100 New Enterprise Rural Electric Co. customers on the Waterside substation were affected by the outage, including those in New Enterprise, Woodbury, Waterside and along Woodbury Pike.
