Lost Dog Tags Find Their Way Home to McKee After 52 Years

Dee and Wade Rodland display his dog tags that were returned to him after being lost for 52 years.

In August 1968, Lawrence "Wade" Rodland was on a "rat" patrol with the 198th Light Infantry Brigade in Vietnam when a booby trap exploded, breaking both legs, his left arm, and severing the index finger on his left hand. After nearly a year in Vietnam, Rodland's injuries would send him home.

Although Rodland's time in Vietnam was over and he would soon be heading home, he unknowingly left behind a momento of his time in the jungle, one that would find its way to Rodland's home in Mckee 52 years later.

When Rodland was injured he was taken to a hospital in Chu Lai where someone took his dog...
