Blair County Cancels Jury Trials for Remainder of 2020

President Judge Elizabeth A. Doyle announced Friday, Nov. 13, that due to the recent rapid increase in COVID-19 cases, Blair County jury trials are canceled for the remainder of 2020.

Specifically, the following events are canceled: jury selections scheduled for Nov. 16, 17 and 20 and Nov. 23, 24 and 25.

Judge Doyle said that for the safety and security of the jurors, victims, defendants, witnesses, attorneys, court and courthouse staff and the public, the court would not be convening large public events through the end of the year. This includes cancelling the attendance of participants,...
