S|Sgt. Virgil E. Feathers, well known young man of the central section of the Cove, is home with an honorable discharge.

Calvin K. Stern of Martinsburg, on Thursday of last week had a birthday, and a very happy birthday it was. He reached the age of 72. His only two sons, S|Sgt. Glenn B. Stern and Sgt. Clair B. Stern were with their father for his birthday. Mrs. Stern had prepared a chicken dinner and baked a large birthday cake. Both sons had long services overseas and it was the first time that father and sons were together since Feb. 1942.

Evangelist Herbert Pfeifer, converted bank robber, will speak at the Ore Hill Union church. He will give his life story and will tell how he was saved.
