On Oct. 19, 2020, the Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department became state-licensed as a Quick Response Service, otherwise known as QRS.
The decision was made to start a QRS unit when the Williamsburg Ambulance closed in January of 2020. A QRS unit is a rapid -response truck that is available 24/7 and is a medical response unit.
