118 Work on Community Day

There were 118 men, women and boys on hand for the Community Day work at the Morrison Cove Vocational School. Using picks and shovels, they leveled the “unsightly high mounds and uneven places” and laid a sewer tiled “to a very safe depth.”

J.S. Detwiler of New Enterprise advertised on the front page that he had started his chopper for the season and was available to grind chop “While you wait” on Wednesday of each week.

The District Sunday School convention is to be held Sunday afternoon and evening at the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren.
