Nason Hospital Needs Funds

Martinsburg borough officials in a letter to the Post Office Department this week have appealed to postal authorities to give approval to a site on the main square for a new post office.

Nason Hospital has issued an appeal to the public for additional funds to enable the institution to open its new addition free of debt early next spring.

Dr. Richard H. Bulger of New Enterprise was reelected president of the N.B. school board at its annual meeting.

A program to modernize the Blair County Airport is proposed by Dr. Harold Brande, a member of the Airport Authority.

Joseph H. Clark , 20, of East Freedom, was held for court under $2,000 bail on a charge of burglary in connection with the robbery of coin boxes at the automatic car wash at the Roaring Spring By-Pass.

Mrs. Mamie Teeter, proprietor of Teeters Hotel, is in Mercy Hospital, Altoona, for treatment of a fractured hip suffered in a fall at the entrance to the hotel kitchen at 2:45 p.m. Monday. Surgery was planned to reduce the fracture.
