Teacher Celebrates Birthday

The members of the sophomore class of the Cove High school near Martinsburg entertained the seniors at a reception on the evening of Dec. 3. A program was carried out in the chapel of the building. Lunch was served in the domestic science kitchen.

Tobias Henry, teacher of the Bull Run school near Loysburg, was tendered a surprise on Dec. 7 his 19th birthday, when a large number of patrons gathered at the building. A fine program was carried out during the afternoon. The visitors brought well-filled baskets.

The board of trustees of the Morrisons Cove Home met on Friday and transacted a considerable amount of business relative to the operation of the institution in South Martinsburg.

William A. McCauley who was stationed with the coast artillery at Fort Monroe where he had charge of the band and orchestra, was a visitor in the Cove, after an absence of thirty-four years. He was a native of Woodbury. He was to go to Pittsburgh to visit his cousin, Prof. S.H. Replogle and family.
