Police Ask for Help in Hollidaysburg Homicide

Hollidaysburg Borough police are reaching out to the public for help as they continue to investigate the death of Tyler Richard Slippy, 27.

Slippy's body was found in his residence, 515 Allegheny St., on Nov. 22. Hollidaysburg police, along with assistance from the State Police at Hollidaysburg, the Blair County coroner, the Blair County district attorney and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, are investigating Slippy's death as a homicide.

Police are asking anyone within a two-block radius of the crime scene with surveillance cameras to check videos from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, until 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21. Police are also asking anyone who may have observed any suspicious behavior, vehicles, or persons, regardless of perceived relevance to contact them at 695-3711 or 940-5910.

Crime Solvers of Blair County has made the homicide its crime of the week and is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Police have not released details about the investigation. Blair County Coroner Patricia Ross was only able to confirm that Slippy's death was a homicide and that the investigation is ongoing.
