Allan Wayne "Alby" Colyer, 64, of Jacks Corner, passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at UPMC Altoona, due to massive strokes. Allan was COVID- 19 negative.

He was born Aug. 15, 1956, a son of Clara (Dohrn) Colyer of Hopewell and the late Kenneth Colyer. On May 20, 1994, in Winchester, Va., he married Debra K. Calhoun, his wife with whom he has spent 39 years together.

Along with his mother and wife, he is survived by siblings Karl Colyer, Kenneth, married to Leslie (Leidy), and Kimberly, married to Brad Bowser; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

He was a 1974 graduate of Northern Bedford High School, Loysburg.

He was a carpenter by trade and was employed by KLA Roofing and Construction as an estimator/project manager. Allan was a hard worker. He was previously employed by BK Baker, Honeywell, Gordon Delozier, Susquehanna Valley Construction, Cambria Construction and JLG in Bedford, where he met his wife, Debra.

Allan enjoyed camping, hunting mushrooms, walking in the woods, cooking, baking and his annual fishing trip with his brother Karl to Canada.

He had a love for animals, being with his many friends, his family and his Mom Calhoun's apple pie. He was always willing to help anyone. He enjoyed watching westerns, science educational programs, and the Oakland Raiders play football.

Allan was affiliated with the Bedford Forge United Methodist Church.

A private memorial service will be held with a public celebration of life service at a later date.
