PEARL S. MELLOTT

Hopewell

Pearl S. Mellott, 90, of Hope-well, formerly of Breezewood, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at Altoona Nursing Center, Altoona.

She was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Crystal Spring, Pa., a daughter of the late George Calvin and Alice Belle (Hixson) Garland. On Aug. 27, 1949, in Gapsville Christian Church, she was united in marriage to Richard Lee Mellott. He preceded her in death Dec. 25, 2013.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra M., married to Dennis W. Replogle, Hopewell, and daughter-in-law Cherry Mellott, Breezewood; four grandchildren: Adam L. Mellott and friend Debbie and Zane H. Mellott of Breezewood, Nathaniel Replogle and wife Laura of Roaring Spring and Ethan Replogle and wife Amanda of Hopewell; three great-grandchildren: Aria, Gannon and Stella Pearl; a sister, Betty Seitz, married to Donald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Craig L. Mellott on Oct. 9, 2010; and siblings: Floyd and Ralph Garland and Ruth Kohr; and great-grandchildren: Millie Jean and Ella Pearl.

Mrs. Mellott was a member of the Gapsville Christian Church.

She was a graduate of Warfordsburg High School Class of 1949.

Pearl was a home maker, loved gardening and canning every season. She worked at Old Bedford Village and for the Bedford County Extension Office until her retirement.

Funeral Services will be held privately with Pastor J.R. Winck officiating.

Burial will be held privately at Union Memorial Cemetery.
