Rose M. Baker

Rose M. Baker, 89, went home to be with the Lord peacefully Monday Dec.28, 2020, at Cambria Care Nursing Center, Ebensburg.

She was born Aug. 16, 1931, in Carson Valley, the daughter of the late Malcom and Viola (Shelow) Reep.

She married Robert W. Baker June 23, 1949, in Curryville. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 2010.

She is survived by two daughters: April P. Kennedy and husband Don of Pittsburgh and Holly Jo Miller and husband Don of Martinsburg; a grandson, Robert Keith and wife Amber of Roaring Spring; and two great-grandchildren: Kasen and Kenna.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Kennedy; and five siblings: Della (Daisey) Casserly, Trudy Claar, Robert Reep, Elsie Shaner and Mary Bishop.

Rose was a member of Curryville Church of the Brethren. She attended Blair Senior Services and was in the quilting club and loved donating to the residents around Blair County. Rose loved her gardening and had won Garden of the Year in Martinsburg for her lovely flowers and yard.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or funeral.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
