Post Office Moves

The Post Office Department will go ahead with its plans to build a new Martinsburg Post Office at 200 E. Allegheny Street in spite of objections by local residents.

Patients will be moved into the new $950,000 wing of the Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring this week.

The new facility will accommodate 21 patients. There is a private room, eight semi-private rooms and an intensive care area with four beds.

Important events on the calendar of the Central High School Band include an appearance in the parade honoring Gove. Milton Shapp at Harrisburg, Tuesday, Jan. 19.

William H. Bolger, a native of Martinsburg, is the newly constituted District Superintendent of the Palmyra Area School District.

A third quarter rally enabled the Dragon courtmen, at the expense of Mount Union, to push their seasonal record over the .500 mark at 7-6.

CK Bulldogs upset the favored NB Panthers, 58 - 46, in a game Tuesday night in Claysburg.
