Farmers’ Institute meetings under the direction of H.F. Cox, county chairman, in cooperation with R.B. Dunlap, county farm agent, were scheduled in Blair County.

Samuel M. Shriver of Martinsburg RD purchased the Mrs. Henry Smith property on North Market Street.

G.D. Fluke and A.S. Hoover who were returning from “the wilds” of Jack’s Corner, Bedford County, on Thursday evening, Jan. 6, reported that at dusk they were attacked by an animal described by them as the man-eating ape which was reported to be at large.
