Claysburg-Kimmel High School to Reopen Jan. 29 After Two COVID-19 Cases

The Claysburg-Kimmel School District was notified Monday, Jan. 22, of two individuals who tested positive for COVID-19.
The individuals were last in the junior/senior high school building and on district transportation on Thursday, Jan. 21. This meets the district’s two-case limit within its 14-day window. Due to Pennsylvania Department of Health’s guidelines, the district is required to close the high school building for cleaning and contact tracing.
“We have contacted the PA Department of Health and will follow their recommendations,” Superintendent Darren J. McLaurin said.
