Bedford County Completes First Phase of Broadband Connectivity Improvement

The Bedford County Commissioners have announced the completion of the first phase in expanding high-speed broadband throughout Bedford County that was completed on Dec. 23, 2020.

Funding was made available under the Federal CARES Act to allow local governments the ability to provide avenues for residents to access reliable Internet service.

Broadband expansion is Bedford County's number-one priority, as described in their Regional Comprehensive Plan that was adopted in 2017.
