Freedom Township Names New Supervisor

Timothy James

Timothy James has been appointed to the Freedom Township Board of Supervisors, filling the seat left vacant by the December death of Daniel "Butch" Giarth.

James, a deputy fire chief with the Freedom Township Volunteer Fire Company, was appointed to the seat for the remainder of 2021. He will appear on the May primary ballot seeking election to the seat for the remainder of Giarth's term which runs through 2024. James joins Ed Bender and Maureen Hammer on the three-person board.
