Mines to Close Down

George B. Wineland of Martinsburg was spending the week in Pittsburgh where he was serving on a federal court grand jury.

Mrs. G. Edward Straesser of Martinsburg received word of the death of her sister, Mrs. S. Howard Bloom of Trinidad, Col. The deceased was the former Harriet Zimmerman.

Announcement was made that due to the lack of orders the clay operations at Mines would be closed down part time until further notice.

Miriam Johnson, daughter of Druggist Johnson of Martinsburg, was tendered a birthday surprise party on Monday evening by a number of her young friends....
