Milton V. Burgess, 96, of Martinsburg, former editor of the Morrisons Cove Herald, passed away Wednesday morning, Feb. 14, 1996, at the Homewood Retirement Center, where he had been a resident for several weeks. Mr. Burgess retired in 1982 after serving for 24 years as editor of the Herald, but he continued to write his “Local History” column in the Herald until last May.
