MARY ISABELLA RHODES

Mary Isabella Rhodes, 79, of Henrietta, passed away Thursday morning Feb. 11, 2021, at home.

She was born June 27, 1941, in Atkinson Mills, the daughter of the late Raymond Earl and Dora Virginia (Eby) Sunderland. She married Clair E. Rhodes Dec. 25, 1961, in McConnellstown.

She is survived by her husband; three children: Clair "Shorty" Rhodes of Hopewell, Virginia Marks and husband Harry of Roaring Spring and Juanita Long and husband Tim of New Enterprise; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters and a brother: Jean Holsinger of Huntingdon, Diana Heffner and husband Maurice of Hesston and Earl Sunderland and wife Deb of Alexandria.

She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond "Chip" Rhodes.

Mary was a 1959 graduate of Mount Union High School.

She was previously employed at Cove Shoe Co., Roger Keith Cabinet Shop, and the Roaring Spring Blank Book Co.

She enjoyed going to sales, crocheting, and her trips to Rocky Gap Casino.

A funeral was held Sunday, Feb. 14, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring (www.thompsonfh.com). Pastor Tim Guyer officiated. Interment was made in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens.
