Storm Damages Farm Buildings

Many farm buildings were damaged and electrical service curtailed during a wind storm Feb. 15 in Morrisons Cove. The wind reached a velocity of 70 miles an hour as measured at the Blair County Airport. Almost the entire roof of the stone farm house of Mr. And Mrs, Danile Frederick, Curryville, was blown off. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Shriner of Hickory Bottom, lost a section of his barn roof.
Reports of two wild animals, either panthers or large wildcats, were made in the Clover Creek section between Beavertown and Fredericksburg. Ray Brumbaugh lost a hog to the intruders. Far...
