ANNABELLE S. FRAZIER

Martinsburg

Annabelle S. Frazier, 88, of Martinsburg, passed away Sunday evening, Feb. 28, 2021, at her apartment at Homewood at Martinsburg.

She was born Aug. 10, 1932, in Crystal Spring, Fulton County, daughter of the late Wilbur A. and Marian (Walters) Shaw. On Dec. 5, 1953, she married John G. Frazier at Quantico Marine Corps Chapel. He preceded her in death April 11, 2002, after 48 years of marriage.

Surviving are a sister, Dolly S. Bowser of New Enterprise; and numerous nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Shaw and Mary Jane Shaw-McGaughey; and a brother, James H. Shaw.

Annabelle was a 1950 graduate of Everett High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran serving from 1951 until 1953, attaining the rank of Airman 2nd Class.

She was a member of New Enterprise Church of the Brethren and Martinsburg Red Hat Society.

Annabelle loved RV camping with her husband, John and after his passing, took their RV by herself for winters in Florida. She was an amazing seamstress who also enjoyed embroidery, cross stitch and in past years doing water aerobics at the Hollidaysburg Y.M.C.A.

A funeral with military honors was held Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg (www.bolgerfuneralhome.com). Pastor Marlys Hershberger officiated. Private interment will be held at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Va.
