Thought for the Week

We come to St. Matthew 18:21-35 and the parable for discussion this week. This is the only passage that records this parable but forgiveness is a topic for discussion frequently. Jesus had been talking about restoring right relationships between family members who had sinned against (wronged) one another. Noted rabbis had pronounced three as the number of times to forgive before relationships were cut off. They seemed to look to the Old Testament Prophet Amos.
